Basketball tourney tradition continues in Kaukauna

KAUKAUNA — The 49th annual Holy Cross Men’s Basketball Tournament tips off March 24-26 and continues April 7-9 at Carl Giordana Gym, Holy Cross site, in Kaukauna.  The tournament is billed as the “Best in the Midwest,” in part, for its collection of talent. Among the former college basketball standouts advertised for 2017 include Kenneth Lowe and Turner Botz of Green Bay, Zak Showalter of Wisconsin, D-III All-American Ty Sabin of Ripon and Anthony Moody, the 2016 tournament MVP whose pro experience includes playing in the D-League and overseas.

Other recent Holy Cross Open MVPs include former Green Bay guard Steve Baker, former Milwaukee Panther Deion James, former Lawrence standout John Dekker and Green Bay Fighting Phoenix legend Jeff Nordgaard.
