High school students honored for Christian service
MANITOWOC -- The Silver Lake College Office of Admissions and the
Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy annually sponsor
the Catholic Student Recognition Award Program. The program
recognizes and encourages outstanding Christian Service of high
school students offered within the Catholic tradition.
Pastors and high school youth ministers/coordinators may nominate
students from their parish or school. The recognition program is
for individuals in grades 9-12 who consistently are involved in a
variety of services to the parish. Nominees are models of
Christian character that exemplify the traits of becoming a
future Christian leader.
Individuals selected for the Silver Lake College 2001 Catholic
Student Recognition Award Program receive a congratulatory letter
and a Christian witness pin for their achievement. Their names
are also added to a Catholic Student Recognition Award Plaque on
