Members of Neenah and Menasha parishes have formed a theatrical group, the Menasha Catholic Community Players, and will present "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat," this weekend in the Menasha High School auditorium.
The play will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday.
The Community Players include about 90 pre-teens, teens and adults from St. John, St. Mary and St. Patrick Parishes in Menasha and from the community.
Open auditions were held in March. Debbie Loomis, business manager, explained that the group chose "Joseph" as its first production because it wanted one with a good message that used a large number of people.
Andy Rusch, an eighth grader from St. Joseph Middle School, Appleton, plays Joseph. Fr. Roy Geenen, St. Patrick's pastor, plays Jacob. Fr. Geenen said he has a background in musical theater, but this is his first play in several years.
Tickets are available by calling St. Patrick at (920)725-8381, ext. 103, or at the door for a suggested donation of $5.
