Bp. David Zubik is looking forward to getting out and meeting people. He will start doing that right after his Dec. 12 installation.

• Two of the first events he will attend are the Catholic Hmong New Year, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Jude Parish, and the Our Lady of Guadalupe celebration at St. Agnes Church, both on Dec. 13. The Guadalupe celebration begins with Mass at 6:30 p.m.

The following regional visits will include Mass, followed by a reception.

• Monday, Dec. 15, 6:30 p.m. Mass at Holy Innocents Church, Manitowoc;

• Tuesday, Dec. 16, 6:30 p.m. Mass at St. John Church, Antigo;

• Wednesday, Dec. 17, 6:30 p.m. Mass at Holy Family Church, Marinette;

• Thursday, Dec. 18, 6:30 p.m. Mass at St. Bernard Church, Green Bay;

• Sunday, Dec. 21, 1:30 p.m. Mass at St. Bernard Church, Appleton.

Various events, not yet announced, will be part of the regional visits.

When Bp. Zubik visited Green Bay on Oct. 10, he said he plans, in his first 6-12 months in the diocese, to be "all over the place, visiting lots of people, getting to know lots of people. One of the gifts I have is being a really good listener and I really want to be able to listen to what people have to say, what they have to tell me, so I can be a good shepherd to the people here."

• Bp. Zubik will be installed at 2 p.m. Dec. 12 in St. Agnes Church, Green Bay. The Mass will be carried live on WLUK-TV (Fox 11) and on WJOK radio (1050 AM).

• Additionally, Bp. Zubik will celebrate Christmas Eve Mass at 9 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. The Mass will be broadcast live on WLUK-TV (Fox 11).
