Hurricane help
Here are ways Catholics can assist in hurricane recovery efforts:
Contribute financially to Catholic Charities USA online at www.catholiccharitiesusa.org or by mailing checks to the Diocese of Green Bay, P.O. Box 1506, Green Bay, WI 54305-1506. Checks should be issued to the "Diocese of Green Bay" and noted in the memo "Hurricane Katrina." Catholics in the diocese have given $446,846.12 for relief efforts.
Parishes who would like to help parishes devastated by the hurricanes to rebuild can take part in a parish partnership program sponsored by Catholic Charities USA. Information is at www.catholiccharitiesusa.org/parishpartnership.
Students in religious education or Catholic schools can give a dollar to the National Catholic Educational Association's Child to Child Program to buy school supplies or support other educational needs of students in the hurricane-stricken Gulf Coast states.
