Adoration to include vocations
Adoration for vocations begins with the close of the Year of the Eucharist
The Green Bay Diocese will begin a new Eucharistic venture as it marks the closing of the Year of the Eucharist.
Beginning Sunday, Oct. 30, the five Perpetual Adoration Chapels in the diocese will begin a ministry of prayer for vocations. At every hour of every day, at least one person in the diocese will be praying for priests and for vocations to the priesthood in the diocese.

At the concluding Mass of the Year of the Eucharist on Oct. 29 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Bp. David Zubik will bless images of ordination - specifically a poster that includes a photo by Rick Evans of an ordination in the diocese - which will be displayed in each of the Adoration Chapels on an alternating basis.
The images will be placed in the chapel that is offering the special intentions that week, starting in Green Bay. Each Sunday, another chapel will begin its week of prayer for vocations.
The five Perpetual Adoration Chapels in the diocese are at the following churches:
St. Pius X, Appleton;
Good Shepherd, Chilton;
Ss. Peter & Paul, Green Bay;
Holy Family, Marinette;
St. Margaret Mary, Neenah.
The chapels are cooperating with Fr. Tom Long, diocesan Vocation Director, in this ministry of prayer.
"The faithful throughout the diocese are encouraged to pray at their local Adoration Chapel or elsewhere in front of the Blessed Sacrament to ensure priestly ministers of the Eucharist for years to come," Fr. Long said.
