Here is a list of videos available through the Diocesan Department of Education AV Center. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

3364: Questions of the Soul: Prayer? Fr. Michael Himes (1995, 25 min. Level: SA)

If you don't pray, watch this video for inspiration to start. If you pray, watch this engaging, sometimes humorous, and always thought-provoking video to gain new insights. Here are a few of the questions: If God knows everything, why pray? If someone says "pray for me," does it make any difference if we do? What is the "best way" to pray?

This 14-episode EWTN series explores such issues as church authority, developing a prayer life, and church teachings. Includes fresh insights to inform and enliven your conversations with family and friends.


4753: Hot Talk Starters (2002, 60 min., Level SA)

Seven tape video series examines dysfunctional families, morality, sexual abstinence and prayer in schools. Warning, the series deals with sensitive issues and does not offer conclusions! Preview this program before use and prepare your Discussion Leaders with the Leaders Guide. Use these presentations only when it includes a careful debriefing time.


4912: Some Assembly Required Teens Talk About Faith (2003, 30 min., Level JS)

Helps teens explore what role faith and spirituality play in their lives. Eleven teens - freshmen through seniors in high school - candidly share their views on faith, God, service, Jesus, prayer, and liturgy and discuss their struggles to have a spiritual life amid the daily chaos and stress of teen culture.
