SSJ-TOSF (Stevens Point Sisters) mark jubilees
Community founded in 1901, while city was part of Green Bay Diocese
Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis will celebrate jubilees on Saturday, July 29, at St. Joseph Congregational Home, Stevens Point. Bp. Jerome Listecki will celebrate the Jubilee Mass at 10:30 AM. Dinner will follow.
Sr. Leone Juszczyk, a 70th jubilarian, was born in Sobieksi. She attended St. John Cantius School and joined the community in 1934. She was a teacher and served in various schools in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin, including St. John, Menasha.
Sr. Florence Domka, a 60th jubilarian, served her first teaching assignment out of novitiate at Assumption BVM School in Pulaski. She has also served in community leadership as regional director and Provincial Director.
Sr. Catherine Kieliszewski, a golden jubilarian, began her teaching ministry at St. Mary of the Angels in Green Bay. She has also served as chaplain at a VA hospital and in pastoral ministry.
Sr. Gerri Kryshak (50) has served as a teacher in Indiana and Wisconsin, including at St. Josaphat in Oshkosh, Resurrection and St. Mary of the Angels in Green Bay, St. John in Little Chute and St. Joseph in Oconto.
Sr. Helen Ralph Rzepiejewski (50) has served as a teacher, high school volunteer and the first member of her order to serve as a foster grandparent in public schools. In the Green Bay Diocese, she taught at St. John in Menasha and St. Josaphat in Oshkosh.
Sr. Lucy Bruskiewicz (50) is a native of Hofa Park. St. attended St. Stanislaus School and, after joining her religious community, has served as a teacher in Minnesota, Indiana and Wisconsin, including at Assisi Hall in West De Pere (St. Norbert College). She is currently a massage therapist.
Sr. Mary Ann Stoltz (50) has served as a teacher and pastoral minister in Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. In our diocese, she taught at St. Mary of the Angels, Green Bay, directed religious education at St. Therese Parish in Appleton and served in pastoral ministry in Appleton.
Sr. Michele Nemojeski (50) has been a teacher in Indiana and Wisconsin. She has served at Assumption BVM in Pulaski, Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Green Bay (Eaton) and St. Norbert College in De Pere.
Sr. Michelle Wronkowski, a 25th jubilarian, is a native of Manitowoc. She attended St. Norbert College and began a teaching career. She has taught at St. John School, Little Chute, where she also served as assistant principal. She is currently principal at St. Francis Cabrini School in Oshkosh.
Also marking jubilees on July 29 are Sr Virgiose Ozog and Sr. Clarita Iwanski, both 60th jubilarians and Sr. Joanne Wachowiak, a golden jubilarian.
These women represent 480 years of service to the people of Wisconsin in the areas of education, pastoral ministry, health care and congregational administration.
The Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis (SSJ-TOSF), founded in 1901 in Stevens Point, is a Franciscan community of over 300 members.
