Notre Dame Academy hires new principal
GREEN BAY -- Notre Dame de la Baie Academy has announced the appointment of John Ravizza as principal, effective July 1.
On Tuesday, March 4, Norbertine Fr. Dane Radecki, Notre Dame president, presented Ravizza to students, faculty and staff at a morning prayer service. Ravizza is currently associate principal at Notre Dame Academy. Prior to that assignment, he spent five years working in the Teacher Education program at St. Norbert College, De Pere.
A graduate of Santa Clara University, Ravizza received his teacher certification in secondary education from the University of San Diego and a master's degree in Educational Administration from Boston College. He is pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership at Cardinal Stritch University.
The Ravizzas are members of Old St. Joseph Parish in DePere. His wife, Bridget Burke-Ravizza, is a religious studies professor at St. Norbert College. They are raising a daughter, as well as two nephews.
