Easter dinners will be served around diocese

ALLOUEZ -- The big day is coming! For Christians, there is no bigger celebration than Easter. It is the central event of our faith, the celebration of the new life won for us by Jesus Christ.
But joy is even greater when shared. To help spread Easter joy, the following groups invite people to attend free meals on Easter Sunday, March 23. All are welcome.
APPLETON: The We Care Meals Program will host its free meal at the Appleton Moose Lodge #367, 1216 E. Wisconsin Ave. Serving is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. No reservations are needed. Delivery is available but for the homebound only. For delivery or to volunteer, call Ed Rathsack at (920)731-7867, by Friday, March 21. Volunteers are needed to deliver meals, work in the kitchen and serve meals.
Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 930 E. Florida Ave., will offer a free Easter breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Free will donations are accepted.
GREEN BAY: Bay City Baptist Church, 1840 Bond St., will have dinner at noon to 1:30. For reservations, call the church at (920)499-5561 by March 21.
MENASHA: St. Patrick Parish will host a Resurrection Meal from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Geenen Hall at 324 Nicolet Blvd. Donations of filled Easter baskets are needed, as well as volunteers to cook and serve. Call Barb at (920)725-8381, ext, 107.
OSHKOSH: Father Carr's Place 2B, 1965 Oshkosh Ave (Hwys. 21 and 41), will host its 34th annual Easter Day Meals at noon and 5 p.m. Rides and home-delivered meals are available for the noon meal only. Call (920)231-2378 for rides or to request a home delivered meal. Also needed are donations of canned ham, corn, potatoes, desserts and Easter candy for baskets. Drivers to deliver the noon meals are especially needed.
