This year, the Diocese of Green Bay honors 57 women religious at the annual Sisters Jubilee Mass on May 4. The theme for this year is "Your love, a precious gift in the hearts of the faithful."
The annual Mass, celebrated at 2 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, honors women religious who work in the diocese, or who are members of the religious orders based in the diocese. Bishop Robert Morneau will be the celebrant and the jubilarians will take part in the ministry of the Mass. A reception will follow.
"As a Franciscan, my love of family, community and ministry are evident in all I do and am," said Sr. Ann Cravillion, a 50th jubilarian, in reflecting on the jubilee event.
Fellow golden jubilarian Sr. Jolynn Kohlbeck, spoke for many of the sisters about the religious life when she said, "I would hope that a spirit of dedication to a way of life is a symbol and an example to the church."
And Sr. Loyola Romey, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity for 75 years, reflected on the future when she said, "My spirit lives on in the Green Bay Diocese through the apostolate of prayer in which I am presently occupied."
Below are names of the jubilarians and the addresses of their community houses. The sisters would love to hear from the people whose lives they have touched, who have been graced by their ministries.
