GREEN BAY -- Five men were ordained to the Order of Diaconate at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral May 17.
Auxiliary Bishop Robert F. Morneau served as ordaining bishop and Bishop Emeritus Robert J. Banks concelebrated the liturgy.
Three of the newly ordained - Deacons Kevin DeCleene of De Pere, Timothy Downey of Appleton, and Michael Mervilde of De Pere - will serve their parish communities as permanent deacons.
