Ron Colling, a member of the ACES Xavier board of trustees, was also at the town hall meeting. “I believe this proposal is doable,” he told the crowd. “It will be difficult, but if you succeed, then Catholic Central becomes a poster child, or model, for all the schools in the system.”

Since the Nov. 17 town hall meeting, Deacon Schraufnagel said he has been approached by many people. “I am personally very, very excited with the enthusiasm, the commitment, the ideas that I have heard come forth from people,” he said, “the different ways we could promote Catholic education and the ACES system.”
