Book signing in Chicago

By | June 6, 2011

Last week (June 1-2), I had the pleasure of attending the Religious Booksellers Trade Exhibit in Chicago.  Our Sunday Visitor Press, who released my book “Linking Your Beads. The Rosary’s History, Mysteries and Prayers,” invited me down to sign books for the dozen of religious bookstores and book distributors who attended this 20th annual event.  It was a great way to spend a vew days of vacation time.
I also was interviewed by Al Kresta of Ave Maria Radio for his daily show “Kresta in the Afternoon” which is archived at www.avemariaradio.net.  (Yes, I did get a plug in for The Compass.) I also learned that the book is doing well, not only here, but also in the UK and Ireland.
Other authors there included Sr. Joyce Rupp and Fr. Joseph Girzone.  Cardinal Francis George was also on the June 3 interview, as well as Irish singer and politician, Dana (Scallon).
It was a joy to be with so many people who are so obviously in love with their ministry.
