Bishop Ricken to celebrate all-school Mass on Sept. 28

By | September 21, 2011

Each school has been invited to bring 15 students to represent its school. A student from each school will process in with a candle. At the end of the liturgy, a student from each school will pick up another school’s candle and that school will pray for the fellow school throughout the year.

In honor of this year’s Catholic Schools Week theme, “Celebrating Catholic Schools: Faith, Academics, Service,” donations will help Xavier High School with its Peace Day 2011 service project. Therefore, schools will be collecting materials for Operation International Children, an organization that provides children in Afghanistan with school supplies.

For more information on donating school supplies or about the all-school Mass, contact Jane Schueller, curriculum and instruction director, Diocese of Green Bay, at (920) 272-8284.
