Our Lady of Fatima

By | May 16, 2012

To help us on the way to holiness and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, all the popes from Pius XII to our present Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, have promoted and endorsed devotion and promoting of the authentic teachings from Fatima’s message.

We all need to develop a solid and healthy prayer life. Our Lady of Fatima directed the three shepherd children to come closer to Jesus in the most holy Eucharist.

Our Lady’s message was so clear for these young children that they faithfully followed our Lady’s guidance to promote her message of peace for the world out of control and moving away from God.

Some of you may be asking yourselves how does what happened in 1917 affect me today in 2012? Let’s look at this:

1) Fatima is a message of hope to a world in great need and a message for all people and for all time.

2) Fatima teaches us that the cause of the loss of souls to darkness, war and confusion which breeds a spiritual decay we today see all around us.

3) Fatima teaches us that we can make reparation for the sins of others as well as for our own sins.

4) The magnitude of Fatima’s miracle verifies the paramount importance of the message it authenticates.

5) “Fatima is more important now than ever,” said Blessed Pope John Paul II. “We would be mistaken to believe that Fatima’s prophetic mission is complete.”

Contained in our Blessed Mother’s Fatima message are the keys to bringing about the conversion of sinners, which is necessary to save souls from hell and bring peace to the world. The apostolate’s mission is to help people everywhere to learn, live and spread the message of Our Lady of Fatima in communion with the church and in concert with the new evangelization. When it finally succeeds, these keys will be in the hands of all God’s children.

Friends, souls will be saved and peace will come to the world and our hearts. Reparation for sin, the cultivation of virtuous living and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary are the core of our Lady’s message. These are contained in and supported by what has come to be known as our Lady’s requests.

It is the teaching of these requests and the assisting of people in living them that the apostolate’s mission and presence in our diocese has been officially welcomed and with my blessing has the authority to promote the authentic message of Fatima.
