Annual Seminarian Collection will assist men studying for priesthood

By | August 1, 2012

Additional money is spent for vocations promotion and support.

Last June, Fr. Ryan Krueger and Fr. William Van Dynhoven were ordained priests. Two more men will be ordained priests in the coming year and the diocese anticipates having about 27 men in the seminary this fall. Most men are in the seminary for six or eight years, which includes two years philosophy studies and four years of theology studies.

“The faith journey that the recently ordained priests have taken would not have been possible without parishioners’ prayers and support of the Seminarian Collection,” said Bishop David Ricken.
