Vatican creates survey on marriage, family issues

ALLOUEZ — Catholics in the Diocese of Green Bay are invited to participate in an online survey created by the Vatican in anticipation of the General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops Oct. 4-25, 2015.

“The survey was created at the Vatican and is shared with us through the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops,” according to Fr. Daniel Felton, moderator of the diocesan Curia. “This survey is designed to capture thoughts related to issues facing marriages and families today.”

To take the online survey, go to (English) or (Spanish). The survey will be available through Feb. 28, 2015. No print version is available.

The survey will take anywhere from 90 to 120 minutes to complete. “It must be completed without a long period away from your computer, or your responses may be lost,” said Fr. Felton.

Only individuals residing in the 16-county Diocese of Green Bay are invited to complete this online survey, the statement noted. People outside of the diocese should contact leaders from their own diocese.

“The information for our diocese will be compiled by diocesan leaders and a summary report will be shared with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, who will then complete a report for the Vatican,” Fr. Felton added.
