Desotell, who will begin on July 1, replaces Norbertine Fr. Dane Radecki.

“The combination of skills that Kim Desotell brings to the role of president of GRACE is outstanding. She has experience in all areas of education and has served as a teacher, a leader and a fundraiser,” said Bishop David Ricken. “She is committed to the values and outcomes of our Catholic schools. I simply could not have asked for a better person to serve in this role.”

Desotell holds a Master of Science from Cardinal Stritch University in administration and instructional leadership and is in current pursuit of her Ph.D. from UW-Milwaukee specializing in administrative leadership. Her undergraduate degree is from St. Mary’s College in Indiana where she received a Bachelor of Arts in education and a minor in biology.

“We look forward to having Kim contribute her expertise from inside the classroom and as an administrator to continue our focus on high-level academic quality,” said Bill Micksch, chair of the GRACE board of trustees. “That’s an area that she spoke a lot about with us and it completely aligns with our expectations of excellent delivery in our schools.”

“It is an honor to have the opportunity to build upon the strong foundation of the GRACE system. I truly believe there is a resurgence of energy for Catholic education in our region,” said Desotell. “I look forward to raising academic outcomes as well as ensuring spiritual guidance for the children served in the GRACE system.

“I am excited to be a part of the rich academic tradition of our Catholic schools. As an educator, I understand the need for best practices in teaching.”

The Desotell family belongs to St. John the Evangelist Parish in Green Bay, with three children including a 2015 graduate and current student at Notre Dame Academy, Green Bay, and a child attending a GRACE school, Notre Dame, De Pere.
