Biking for Babies team members thankful for support in diocese

I received handwritten messages from both Kevin Biese and Nick Vande Hey of Biking for Babies that included mentions of the support they have received from people in the diocese. For example, members of St. Mary of Lake Parish, Lakewood, contributed $1,073 during a weekend visit by Kevin.

The mission of Biking for Babies is to raise awareness in the fight against abortion and provide financial support for pregnancy resource centers. Nick is a cyclist on the northern ride team, which departed Green Bay on July 9, and will finish in St. Louis on July 14. Nick was featured in a story in The Compass in the June 29 issue. He is a member of Holy Cross Parish, Kaukauna, and a student at St. Norbert College in De Pere.

Kevin, whose home parish is Holy Cross, Kaukauna, currently resides in Madison. He is a veteran Biking for Babies cyclist who filled the role of support crew for the 2018 northern ride. He also serves as a training specialist for the organization.

Supporters have been able to follow the riders online at http://www.bikingforbabies.com. Financial donations continue to be accepted. For information, visit the website. Donations designated for Nick benefit WomanKind Medical Clinic in Appleton.
