Unique headstones?

Is there an unusual headstone or grave marker in your local Catholic cemetery? For example, there is a statue of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, patron of young adults, in St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton. A huge angel can be seen from Webster Avenue in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. And an image of a female saint of royal lineage, wearing a crown, stands in St. Gregory Cemetery in St. Nazianz.

The Compass would like to share some of those unique grave markers in our upcoming Death and Dying section in October.

If you have a photo of an unusual headstone or statue from a Catholic cemetery in the Green Bay Diocese, send it — by Oct. 12 — to The Compass, PO Box 23825, Green Bay, WI 54305, or email a jpeg image (high resolution) to [email protected].
