ALLOUEZ — Spring has come and, since Easter arrives later this year, it might seem more spring-like than usual. Every Easter, we celebrate the triumph of Christ over death and his promise of eternal life for us. Such great joy is meant to be shared with others.
The following groups are offering free meals on Easter Sunday, April 21. All are welcome and reservations are not needed, except as noted.
We Care Meals will host its annual “Easter Celebration Dinner” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Capitol Center, 725 W. Capitol Drive. No reservations needed. For delivery, call (920) 697-1638. Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 740 E. College Avenue, will have a pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt after their 7 a.m. sunrise service until 10 a.m. Freewill offering. There will also be an egg hunt at 9:15 a.m.
Hillside Assembly of God, 5890 State Highway 22 W. Easter Breakfast will be at 9 a.m., until the 10 a.m. worship service.
Bay City Baptist Church, 1840 Bond St., will have an Easter pancake and porkie breakfast from 9 to 10:15 a.m. An Easter service will follow at 10:30 a.m. No reservations needed.
Father Carr’s Place 2B, 1062 N. Koeller St. (Hwys. 21 and 41), will host its 45th annual Easter Day dinner from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Mother Teresa Center. Home-delivered meals are available from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call (920) 231-2378 by Friday, April 19, to request meal delivery. Also needed are donations of stick butter, desserts, canned goods and gift cards in $20 denominations. Desserts may be dropped off on Saturday before 4 p.m. or on Easter from 9-11 a.m. Also needed are volunteers to deliver meals between 10 a.m. and noon.
Hillside Assembly of God North, 2023 County Road Q, will host Easter breakfast at 8 a.m. until the 9 a.m. Easter service.
New Life United Methodist Church of Seymour and Cicero, 721 Pleasant Way, will host a free community meal from noon to 1:30 p.m. Make reservations or for local deliveries and rides call by Wednesday, April 17: Call (920) 833-7308. Monetary donations are also welcome.
