Noskowiak is national winner in Just for Kids 2019 contest

ALLOUEZ — Payton Noskowiak, a freshman at Antigo High School, has been chosen as a winner in the Missionary Childhood Association (MCA) Christmas Artwork contest. She won for her artwork of the Christmas star followed by the Magi, created when she was an eighth grade student at All Saints Catholic School (ASCS) in Antigo last year.

Payton Noskowiak of Antigo holds a copy of her 2019 Just for Kids Christmas artwork, which was a Missionary Childhood Association Christmas Artwork contest winner.

“Her artwork is beautiful,” said Cindy St. Aubin, world mission director for the Green Bay Diocese. “We now have a winner four years in a row, from thousands of entries.”

The annual Just for Kids Christmas art and essay contest, coordinated by World Mission Services and The Compass each Advent, received 474 entries last year.

Payton’s was one of 350 artworks from students in grades K-8. “We’re definitely proud of her,” said ASCS administrator Paul Galuska.

The 24 national MCA winners will be displayed at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., during the Advent/Christmas season. The winners’ artwork will be available for download as e-greeting cards. Here is the link to the 2019 winners, which includes Teresa Iannitello of Manitowoc:
