The buzz around Milwaukee and New York City this week was that the appointment of a new archbishop for the Archdiocese of New York is near, and that Milwaukee Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan is in line to succeed New York’s Cardinal Edward M. Egan. 

Archbishop Dolan served as administrator of the Green Bay Diocese for nine months following Bishop David Zubik’s appointment to Pittsburgh.
