Tell us what being a convert Catholic means
By Patricia Kasten
Compass Associate Editor
Why are you a Catholic?
What does it mean to you to be Catholic?
Some of us are "cradle Catholics," born and raised in our faith. We never knew any other religious faith as our own. Many others of us became Catholic as teens or adults. Many people in our parishes are currently preparing, through the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), to fully enter the Catholic faith at the Easter Vigil.
The Compass would like to hear the faith stories of those who joined the Catholic Church after childhood, or of those who are in the processing of becoming Catholics. Tell us what it meant to you to join -- or to be joining -- the church. What does it mean to you to be Catholic? Why are you Catholic?
Please keep your stories under 200 words. We hope to publish many of them in our Easter edition. All responses must be received by April 3.
Mail your stories of faith to Why be Catholic? c/o The Compass, P.O. Box 23825, Green Bay, WI 54305-3825, or e-mail [email protected].
