Gifts to annual Bishop's Appeal near $4 million
Effort funds church services
Gifts to Bishop's Appeal 2004 were at $3,912,788 as of April 27, reports Josh Diedrich,
director. That represents gifts from 35,724 donors for an average of $109.52. There are now 1,470 Crozier Society members, representing gifts of $500 or more.
Last year at this time, 35,526 donors had contributed $3,594,946 for an average gift of $101.19, Diedrich said. There were 1,049 Crozier members.
That represents an increase of 198 donors - 421 more Crozier Society members and an increase of $317,842 in giving and a jump of $8.33 in the average gift.
The Appeal is the main source of funding for diocesan programs and services offered to parishes, individuals and families.
