Gifts to annual Bishop's Appeal top $4 million
Some $4,024,479 in gifts from 37,088 donors had been received by Bishop's Appeal 2004 as of May 11, reports Josh Diedrich, director. The average gift is $108.51. There are now 1,493 Crozier Society members, representing gifts of $500 or more.
Last year at this time, 36,417 donors had contributed $3,689,409 for an average gift of $101.31, Diedrich said. There were 1,211 Crozier members.
That represents an increase of 671 donors - 282 more Crozier Society members and an increase of $335,070 in giving and a jump of $7.20 in the average gift.
The Appeal is the main source of funding for diocesan programs and services offered to parishes, individuals and families.
