HONORING VIRGIN OF GUADALUPE: The Hispanic community of Green Bay held their annual celebration for the Virgin of Guadalupe on Dec. 9 at St. Agnes Church. The event included Mass, Aztec dancers, a procession and Marian hymns with mariachi music provided by Estrella de Green Bay. Before Mass, a statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe was carried in by girls who are celebrating their 15th birthdays (quinceañeras) during the year. Deacon Luis Sanchez of St. Willebrord Parish in Green Bay, pictured with Jessica Curiel (left) and Cynthia Sanchez, lifts the statue of Mary. Guadalupe celebrations were also held at St. Pius X Church in Appleton and St. Joseph Church in Wautoma. (Photo by Rick Evans)
