FREEDOM -- More than 12 years after his ordination, Fr. Dave Hoffman says priesthood is not only rewarding, but the happiest and best years of his life.

"I most highly recommend it," says Fr. Hoffman, pastor of St. Nicholas Parish, Freedom. "When the kids ask, 'Do you like being a priest?' I always say, 'I love being a priest very, very much. I couldn't imagine myself doing anything else but being a priest and focusing my life on Christ.'"

Catholics in the United States will celebrate Priesthood Sunday on Sunday, Oct. 26. Fr. Hoffman sees that day as a time when people can reaffirm the priesthood and its importance, as well as the need for more men to come forward to serve as priests.   Full story ...
