Belgian Harvest Festival | Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help, Champion
Join the Shrine as it welcomes in the fall season! The Belgian Harvest Festival celebrates the history of the National Shrine in Champion and the rich Belgian heritage within the surrounding community. The life of Adele Brise, her encounter with the Queen of Heaven, and the story of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help is steeped in the rich history and culture of the Belgian farmers who settled in this region. This festival is a celebration of that local history and in thanksgiving for the bounty of our Lord! The day includes special blessings of the fall harvest crops and the area’s farming tractors. Pilgrims will also be able to enjoy desserts and experience the Belgian tradition of chicken booyah!
